Loyalty and Javanese Women in Indonesian Folktales for Children

This study analyses the representation of loyalty Javanese women in Indonesian folktales for children. We apply a textual analysis from perspective feminism and some elements literary sociology approach to four folktales. conclude that are obliged be loyal rulers institutions – which functionally one same. who display often earn symbolic other benefits, while those disloyal or defiant meet tragic end.
